UNP இந்திய பிரச்சனையை தீர்த்தது வெள்ளி ஜனவரி 9 - 1948 UNP solves Indian problem

 ஐக்கிய தேசிய கட்சி UNP இந்திய பிரச்சனையை தீர்த்தது வெள்ளி ஜனவரி 9 - 1948 UNP கட்சி செய்தித்தாள்
இந்திய பிரச்சனையை  ஐக்கிய தேசிய கட்சி  தீர்க்கும்..
நீதி நிலைநாட்டப்படும் மற்றும் தேசிய நலன்கள் பாதுகாக்கப்படும்.
இலங்கையில் இருக்கும்  இந்தியப் பிரச்சனையை ஒரே தடவையிலேயே தீர்த்து வைப்பதாக இலங்கை மக்களுக்கு இந்த உறுதிமொழியை  பிரதமர்  டி எஸ் சேனநாயக்க அவர்கள் நாட்டு மக்களுக்கு வழங்கினார்..
பிரதமர் கௌரவ டி எஸ் சேனநாயக்க அவர்கள் டில்லியில் நடத்திய பேச்சு வார்த்தையின் பயனாக  இந்த விடயத்தில் வெற்றிகரமான தீர்மானம் எட்டப்பட்டது.
பண்டிட் ஜவகர்லால் நேருவுடன் திரு டி எஸ் சேனநாயக்க நடத்திய பேச்சு வார்த்தை இலங்கைக்கு மிகவும் திருப்திகாரமான முறையில் நடைபெற்றது
இதன் காரணமாகவே இந்த சிறப்பான முடிவு எட்டப்பட்டது.
இலங்கை வாழ் இந்திய மக்களின்  குடியுரிமைப் பிரச்சனையில் ஐக்கிய தேசியக் கட்சி எப்போதுமே மிகவும் நியாயமான பார்வையைக் கொண்டிருந்தது,
அதாவது இலங்கையின்  குடிமகனாக இருக்க விரும்பும் எவரும் எந்த விதமான குழப்பங்களும் இன்றி  உறுதியான ஒரு நிலைப்பாட்டை கொண்டிருக்கவேண்டும்
இலங்கையின் குடிமக்களாக விரும்பும் எவரும் மனதளவில் வேறொரு நாட்டின் குடிகள் என்ற நோக்கத்தை கொண்டிருக்க முடியாது .
இந்தியர் ஒருவர் இலங்கைக் குடியுரிமைக்கான உரிமைகளைப் பெற விரும்பினால்,
அவர் தனது இந்தியக் குடியுரிமைக்கான உரிமைகளை முற்று முழுதாக கைவிட வேண்டும்  என்று நாங்கள் கருதுகிறோம்.
அதாவது ஒருவர் இருந்து நாட்டு குடியுரிமைகளையும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் கொண்டிருக்க முடியாது.

ஒருவர் இந்தியாவில் இருக்கும்போது இந்தியராகவும்,
அவர் இலங்கையில் இருக்கும்போது இலங்கையராகவும் இருப்பதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாது..

இந்தக் கருத்தை திரு பண்டிட் ஜவகர்லால் நேருவிடம் நாம் முன்வைத்திருதோம்.
இதை திரு நேரு அவர்கள் முற்று முழுதாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார்!
இதன் மூலம் இந்தியாவுக்கும் இலங்கைக்கும் இடையே பல ஆண்டுகளாக நிலவி வரும் இப்பிரச்சனை தீர்க்கப்பட்டது.

 UNP solves Indian problem ..  Justice will be done and national interests protected.

The united national party gave an undertaking to the country that it would settle the Indian problem once and for all.

That undertaking has been fulfilled by the Prime minister;s successful mission to New Delhi where he had talks.

Which ended in certain conclusions entirely satisfactory from the point of view of Ceylon.

The united national party had always held the most reasonable possible view on the Indian problem of  citizenship rights namely anyone who desire to be a citizen of this country must make up his mind with out any mental reservations and must state he will abandon all claims to the nationality of any other land.

We have been of the opinion that an Indian wishes to have the rights of  Ceylon citizenship he must forswear the rights of Indian citizenship 

This means that he cannot have two nationalities,

One as an Indian when he is in India and another as a Ceylonese When he is in Ceylon.

This view was placed before Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru at the Delhi talks and later considered it to be entirely reasonable.

This will clear up one of the points Which has been at issue between the two countries for many years.
